A Leeds mental health trust has become the first in the country to share key parts of patient records with other health and social care organisations.
Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) has joined the Leeds Care Record, which has been rolling out across the city over the last year to provide health staff directly involved in patient care up-to-date treatment information.
It combines clinical computer systems from a cross the health sector to centralise key information to improve care. LYPFT’s move follows extensive talks with service users.
